Music brings us closer

Everything the other bots put behind a subscription, free. Eight sources, stations that learn what your server likes, and playlists that follow you between them.

  • YouTube
  • Spotify
  • Apple Music
  • SoundCloud
  • Deezer
  • Bandcamp
  • Twitch
  • Radio

Nothing here is metered

This is the list free music bots usually charge for. Every one of them is simply on, for every server, with no tier above it to upgrade to.

  • 24/7 in a voice channel
  • Saved playlists
  • Audio filters and effects
  • Queue length
  • Skipping the vote
  • Lyrics

No ads. No premium tier. No unlocking a filter by voting on a bot list.

Built to be left running

The recording you asked for

Links are matched on the recording's own identifier where one exists — and on title, artist and length where it does not — never on a title that merely looks close. Paste a link to a track called ALL GAS and you do not get all gas, no brakes. That sounds like a small thing until it happens in front of a room.

Eight sources, one command

YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Deezer, Bandcamp, Twitch and radio streams. Paste a link or type half a title.

Stations that learn

Seed one from a genre, an artist or a single track. Like biases it toward the room; dislike drops a song, blocks an artist outright, or sends it somewhere else entirely.

24/7 without babysitting

It stays in the channel, pauses itself when the last person leaves so it is not encoding to an empty room, and picks up the moment somebody returns.

Playlists that follow you

Save a queue once and play it in any server Orpheus is in. They belong to you, not to the server you happened to build them in.

Control that fits the server

A DJ role when you want one, a majority vote to skip when you do not, and neither of them nagging someone alone in a channel with the bot.

The parts nobody advertises

Untouched audio
At normal volume with no filters, audio is passed through exactly as the source encoded it. Nothing is decoded and re-encoded, so nothing is lost on the way to your ears.
Survives a restart
The queue, the track and its position are written down as it plays, and the audio session resumes rather than starting over. Updates cost a few seconds of silence, not the evening's queue.
One tidy card
The player is a single message that updates in place, controls and all. Your channel does not fill with a new embed every time a song changes.

Fair things to ask

Put it in your server

It takes about fifteen seconds, and there is nothing to sign up for.
